Went on a little 20 mile ride with Andy, quite challeging for me but just a warm up for Andy, enjoyed it though especially as I was on my new bike (gone full suspension) and boy does it make a difference feeling more relaxed on the down hills

What is the Aire Valley Bike Bus??

author Posted by: Antony Delaney on date Oct 8th, 2008 | filed Filed under: General

What is the bike bus?

It’s not really a bus, it’s bicycles! BUT like a bus we have a set route and a timetable, so cyclists can jump on and off the bus along the route.

You can find more information about the bike bus on there website

Site Rewrite

author Posted by: Antony Delaney on date Oct 4th, 2008 | filed Filed under: General

I have decided to rewrite the current site to something new. The current plan is try and create a community driven site where anyone is free to sign up and add content. What I am after from you the community is to tell me what you would like to see in this “New Site”. What kind of content would you like to see,What sort of things would you like the new site to do. I.E create a site for your own local bike club(http://LocalClubName.bradfordbiking.co.uk). How often would you like to see the site updated.

So please feel free to go mad with ideas.

To let me know of these crazy ideas please leave a message on the forum link below.

Ogden Reservoir - Map

author Posted by: Antony Delaney on date Sep 6th, 2008 | filed Filed under: General

Currently we do not have map of the route we take around Ogden Reservoir, but this will change soon enough. I am planning to redo the route as soon as it has dried up as it gets very muddy to the point its un-ridable. I will be taking my GPS device and map the route out and put it on the website like the rest.

Any one looking for a map of the route we take around Ogden Reservoir do come back again and see if its been uploaded.

I Got u Update

Been using the device now for a few rides:

Not had any problems with it as of yet, and I can say from personal experience, it is waterproof. I managed to drop it in deep puddle last night it got totally submerged with water (had to fish it out).

As the software goes I can’t say much about it. As it originally did not give me the elevation data that I needed , I ended up using topofusion. The i-gotu team have released a new version called @trip which is 100% compatible with i-gotu device and this does give you the elevation data. But I will continue to use topfusion.

With topofusion I can keep a log of all my rides and also have the ability to profile a ride  , along with a lot of other features the i-gotu software does not give.

As I have not really used @trip I can’t say much about the features as I only use it was a way to export the data off the i-gotu device
